The group content focuses on self-esteem issues, anger management, genograms, personal scripts, stress management, assertiveness training, and issues surrounding death & dying. The co-therapists for this group are Darlyne G. Nemeth, Ph.D., and Nina S. Broyles, L.C.S.W., J.D. | | | | | "Eight-Week Smoking Cessation Group" | The Smoking Cessation group was designed to aid individuals in quitting smoking. The program utilizes behavioral, cognitive, experiential techniques to educate, motivate, and alleviate smoking behaviors, and as appropriate, psychopharmacological treatment. The co-therapists for this group are Louis Cenac, M.D., and Kelly Paulk Ray, Ph.D. | | | | "Lets Talk About ANGER:" Anger Management for Children | All too often, it is assumed that children are intentionally behaving badly when in fact they have just not learned how to express their anger appropriately. "Lets Talk About ANGER" is an 8-part anger management program for children ages 5 to 10 years of age that is designed to teach children: | 1) what anger is | | 2) how to recognize when he/she is angry | | 3) how to recognize being out-of-control vs. in-control of anger | | 4) methods and techniques to control anger | | 5) alternatives to anger | | | | Please contact this office if you are interested in participating in any of the aforementioned support or therapy groups. | | Psychotherapy group: a group of individuals who often cannot cope with minor everyday stress without discomfort. Group members are not allowed to have contact outside of group sessions. Support/"T" Group: a support/"T" (T=training) group is generally compsed of well-functioning individuals who seek greater competence and growth. Group members are allowed to have contact with members outside of the group setting as long as confidentiality is maintained. | | | | | |
